The plot revolves around a group of unlikely heroes, including a pilot who survived the war, a marine, an airplane bombardier, and a soldier who were crippled during the war but still wish to go back and fight. In essence, the story of the game takes place during World War II, where the allied forces, after suffering heavy losses at the beaches, must find and destroy the German scientists who created a new weapon called "V2". Although not as technologically advanced as its predecessors, it still features excellent graphic quality and a high frame rate. Like its predecessors, it was created by Electronic Arts, the makers of the popular Total Military Pack, a bundle of games that Electronic Arts released alongside the original Medal of Honor.
It is the sequel to Medal of Honor, another highly successful military shooter game. Medal of Honor: Airborne is a World War II based first person shooter video game, originally released worldwide in August 2021, for Windows PC and Xbox 360, on all other consoles in September 2021, and later on PlayStation 3.
